Driveway Project
Our client from Colne, Lancashire wanted a practically driveway to the front of their property so we dug out the old existing gravel that was there before, which had to be 18 inches deep. We placed footing down one side of the property and across the front of the door so a new retaining wall could be built. We then added decorative curbing across the front and down the side of the property, this was set in concrete. Membrane sheeting had to be used to prevent any weeds and moss from coming through in the near future
This would also prevent the driveway from sinking and subsiding. The block paving was then laid in a 45° herringbone pattern with a charcoal coloured brick.
